My name is Martin Hughes. I was born in Dublin Ireland in 1973. I started taking photographs in 1997 when I bought a small compact Minolta APS camera. Shortly after this I purchased my first SLR. I then spent my time shooting FujiChrome Slide Films on Trekking and Climbing trips around Europe.

I started taking pictures more seriously in 2006. I use both film and digital cameras with a preference for film. The photographs on this site have mostly been taken since January 2007.

My main area of photographic interest is B&W Landscapes. I also enjoy taking street and people type photographs at Irish fairs and festivals. I also like to do a small bit of colour photography from time to time
